Summary
If you're looking for a good fantasy novel, then this one just might be perfect for you. Author Michael Dadich has created a different world where children must fight and make impossible decision and weird beings control others' destinies. Shelby Pardow, the main character, will lead the reader through the twists and turns of this book. She manages to keep her bravery and insight even in times of extreme stress. Her character is admirable and the reader should have no trouble connecting with her. The other characters serve to fill in the background information, provide dialogue, and push the plot along. The reader will enjoy getting to know some of these characters and learn to hate some of the "evil characters" who the author makes more or less irredeemable.
The plot itself might not be the most "novel" idea. However, the reader will definitely find the plot moving along at a smooth and quick pace. The ending was a little predictable, but satisfying at the same time. The author's diction fit the fantasy world he created perfectly. Overall, the reader should find this creative novel a good read and The Silver Sphere is recommended to young adult/adult readers.
