We all wonder about death and what occurs after, but how many of us have put serious time into separating the facts from the rumors? Hanegraaff compiles a book based on what is definitively (within reason) known about the afterlife versus what is said about the afterlife; he divides his book into neatly contained chapters that are easy to navigate.
This book does give the reader a certain sense of reassurance. If a reader expects doom and gloom, he/she won't find that type of emotion evoked here. The author remains upbeat about the "future." It is important to note that the author bases some of his knowledge on this topic from his own brush with death, providing the reader with a sense of credibility. As far as the religious aspect, though this book is clearly based on the Bible, non-religious readers will still find this book a good read. The influence of Christianity is not so heavily emphasized that a reader who would rather avoid that genre could not read this book. The arguments behind the author's assertions were logical and concise, for the most part. Overall, this book is recommended to adult readers interested in knowing more about the afterlife.
