Non-stop action had me reading this book until around 5 am. After sleeping until 5 pm, I am now writing this review and drinking copious amounts of raspberry tea. Ash is given a choice, either vote against Rose’s Law or Natalie will be killed. After making the right decision, Rose immediately retaliates. Elijah then comes into the picture, claiming he knows of a weapon that could end the war, and the story truly begins.
Ash and Natalie are a great duo, but their relationship is tested in Phoenix. Elijah is stiff competition, but I have faith in Ash. He is a strong leader, and I wish he was a real human being! Elijah is an interesting character that keeps things alive; he is very charismatic. I loved the action and unpredictable plot, being surprised was fun!
Readers 14 and up who enjoyed the Hunger Games will love Phoenix. Elizabeth Richards knows how to keep readers on their toes.
